(1) On the basis of the report received in accordance with Rule 22, on the basis of reasonable grounds that there is or may be an offense related to financial investment in money laundering and terrorist activities, when the head of the department appoints or appoints an investigation officer, he shall be appointed or appointed in the format as per Schedule-2.
(2) When appointing or appointing an investigation officer in accordance with sub-rule (1), the head of the department may also mention the name of the support staff to determine the time period required to complete the investigation.
(3) If the investigation cannot be completed within the period specified in sub-rule (2), the investigation officer shall submit the reason to the head of the department to extend the opening period.
(4) If there is a request to extend the period according to sub-rule (3), the head of the department may extend the necessary period not exceeding thirty days at a time, considering the nature and progress of the investigation.
